Marblehead Memories is Marblehead Museum’s three-year, multi-faceted project to collect, preserve, and share rapidly-disappearing memories and stories of Marblehead during the 20th century. By doing so, we hope to spur a community-wide culture of memory-sharing, along with a desire to seek out and listen to each other's stories.

COVID-19 ARCHIVE PROJECT
Right now, we are collectively living through an unprecedented global event our children and grandchildren will study in history class. As we have since 1898, Marblehead Museum seeks to capture and preserve this significant moment in time. As an extension of our Marblehead Memories Project, we want to make sure that Marblehead's stories - your stories - are saved for generations to come.
Wondering what to share? Our goal is to collect and preserve a broad range of documents and images that capture how Marblehead residents are experiencing this defining moment. Our “Share Your Story” form includes many questions to help you think about what to share, but we also encourage you to use your creativity. Whether it is something that you create or document—an image, story, or letter—we welcome your contributions.
Below are some examples of what you can share:
-
Personal or community engagement stories
-
Essays, poetry and other writings
-
Photographs
-
Diary or journal entries
-
Artwork
-
Blogs and social media posts (i.e. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
-
Memes
Who can share? We are interested in hearing from people who live, work, or are otherwise experiencing COVID-19 in Marblehead. People of all ages are welcome to contribute.
