The photos were taken during the winter of 2017, when Ashley came to the Lee Mansion for a different project. While he was there he was struck by the stark beauty of the Mansion. The resulting photos are the result of Ashley’s artistic skill and perception. His work provides a behind the scenes glimpse of the mansion when it is at rest.

The generosity of Rick Ashley is greatly appreciated. He took the photographs, printed, and donated them to the Marblehead Museum.
